PC & Laptop computers require regular maintenance in order to maintain their optimum speed, responsiveness, and performance levels. Simply deleting files causes a build up of fragmented data on your hard drive. Installing and removing programs will not only add to fragmentation but also oftem leave behind orphaned files littering your hard drive. Over time a build up of dust within the PC case or laptop chasis can cause computer components to overheat, resulting in an increased risk of system crashes or even complete hardware failure.
These factors will impare the performance of, and in some extreme cases even physically damage your PC or laptop computer hardware. To keep your PC or laptop computer running smoothly we offer two levels of PC Healthcheck services which are performed by a certified technician either in our workshop, or onsite - in the comfort of your own home.

Premium PC Healthcheck - £29

This service is aimed as a complete Tidy & Tune for the majority of PC and Laptop systems to get them back up to peak performance, to clear mild virus/spyware infections, and sort out any basic operating system errors. We recommend this service be performed at least one or two times each year.
What's included in the premium health check?
- System boot check, errors recorded.
- Internal wiring checked, devices checked for correct fitting.
- Bios boot configuration files checked.
- Install a FREE antivirus and firewall solution (if required).
- Install a FREE fully updated anti-spyware solution.
- Virus check. Removal of viruses found.
- Spyware check. Removal of spyware found.
- Adware check. Removal of adware found.
- Windows updates downloaded and installed.
- Memory modules tested using industry standard tools.
- Hard disk tested using industry standard tools.
- Internet and network tests.
- Hard disk defragmented.
- Registry checked, fixed, and optimised.
- System fans tested.
- CD and DVD drives tested, lasers cleaned.
- Device Drivers updated where necessary.
- Graphics card tested in available resolutions.
- Other PC expansion cards tested where applicable.
- Floppy disk drive tested if fitted.
- Other drives tested if fitted.
- Final boot up tests carried out.
- Final advise on any further services or upgrades required.

System Valet Service - £9
|
This involves cleaning your PC's insides, clearing intake and exhaust fan grills etc.. Unlike other companies we provide this service as an optional extra in order to offer our customers a reduced cost on our Premium PC healthcheck service as we know that not all PC's, especially fairly new ones, will NOT need this performed.
This is an advisable service for PC's over 18 months old to clear any dirt or dust build up that may be affecting system performance and lifespan.
